Melbourne-based Kismet received $8m to scale its disability-care software platform to millions of patients worldwide.
Australian health-tech startup Kismet has raised $8 million in seed funding to expand its disability-care based “digital engagement ecosystem” on a global scale.
The latest funding round, led by tech investors Prosus Ventures and Airtree Ventures, will support the evolution of Kismet’s “digital community engagement ecosystem”, including enhancing the scope and capacity of its multi-channel software platform, Kismet Participant.
Designed to help individuals with disability find and book services with their preferred healthcare providers, the platform organises healthcare providers into more than 30 categories to match each user’s insurance benefits or NDIS plan and allows users to compare providers according to distance, rating and price.
According to Mark Woodland, Kismet co-founder and CEO, the new investment would enable the company to extend the scope of its technology to reach millions of patients worldwide.
“This injection of funds is more than just a financial milestone; it represents a significant advancement in our quest to democratise healthcare access globally,” he said.
“While we have our eyes set on the NDIS first, we will be able to scale our tech globally to help millions worldwide access the care they need.”
