See what’s included in the $165 million upgrade, the most ‘significant’ in its 130-year history.

The $165 million Goulburn Hospital and Health Service redevelopment is officially complete, delivering a new ED, ICU and other facilities that the NSW government says will enhance healthcare for communities across the region.

The redeveloped health facility also has a new medical imaging department, the latest in digital theatres, a new four-storey clinical services building, new car parking and landscaping.

Areas of the original hospital have been upgraded, allowing patients to access a range of improved services for ambulatory outpatients, cancer care, Aboriginal health and pathology collections.

Services have been relocated from Bourke Street Health Service to the Goulburn Hospital Campus, to make it easier for the community to access health services in one location.

NSW Regional Health Minister Ryan Park said the expanded range of health services now available at Goulburn meant the hospital could provide a higher level of healthcare to patients, improving health outcomes for the people of the region.

“The completion of the project is an exciting moment in the delivery of healthcare for the people of Goulburn, representing the most significant upgrade the Goulburn Hospital has seen in its remarkable 130-year history,” he said.

Goulburn MP Bob Nanva paid tribute to the contribution and dedication of clinicians, staff, the project team and community involved in the hospital’s redevelopment.
