The service will gain access to the provider’s cloud-based, modular solution for real-time patient flow management under the $3m contract.
Victorian health service Peninsula Health has become the latest in a growing line of public health services to sign a deal with patient flow solution provider Alcidion for use of its electronic patient management solution, Miya Precision.
Under the new contract, valued at $3.7 million and structured over a term of five years, all Peninsula Health sites will gain access to the Miya Precision platform offering real-time data on service demand, capacity, estimated availability and patient monitoring for admitted and emergency patients spanning the service’s entire jurisdiction.
The platform will also integrate with Peninsula Health’s existing electronic medical record system.
According to Alcidion CEO and managing director Kate Quirke, the new partnership represented a “new frontier” for healthcare services across the Peninsula Health region.
“This deal represents a meaningful step forward for patients and families seeking healthcare in southern Victoria,” Ms Quirke said.
“We are leading a new frontier of innovative and measured healthcare with the Peninsula Health team, which addresses some of the most pressing healthcare challenges of our time – availability and accessibility.”
